If you find yourself at Lakeside Mall in Benoni, you’ve gotta check out Steers. I mean, who can say no to a juicy burger, right? Steers has been doing this grilling thing since the ’60s, and let me tell you, they do it well!
Walking into the place, you’ll notice it’s all bright and clean. The staff? Super friendly and ready to help. Seriously, they’re like that friend who always knows what you want to eat. I was hungry the other day, just popped in for a Wacky Wednesday deal, and their King Steer® Burger didn’t disappoint. People rave about it being SA’s fave for twenty years, and now I understand why. It’s like a flavor explosion!
But it’s not just burgers. Their hand-cut chips could almost steal the show if you ask me, though I guess you could say they sometimes have an off day. A review I read mentioned some burnt chips, and that’s a bummer, but hey, every place has a hiccup now and then, right? There are loads of positive vibes in the reviews about the cleanliness and freshness of the food.
And did I mention you can grab takeout, too? Perfect for a lazy night in or if you’re rushing back from work. Plus, it’s family-friendly—there were loads of kids having a blast when I was there.
