You know what? If you’re ever cruising through Soweto, you gotta check out Gateway Food Concepts Pop Up. Seriously. Tucked away at 00191 Matshaya St, it’s like a hidden gem that might surprise you.
I popped in last Saturday, and wow, just wow! The vibe is super chill and casual, perfect for hanging out with friends or a quick bite. The small plates they serve? Oh man, they are simply delightful! It’s that kind of place where you can sit down and just enjoy good food without any fuss.
They’ve got takeout too, which is awesome if you’re on the move. Plus, street parking is free!
You’d think a place like this would be packed every day of the week, but they’re only open on weekends. Just a heads-up, though; it’s closed the rest of the week.
One review I spotted gives them a perfect score of 5.0 out of 5, saying it’s an awesome joint with friendly folks and some of the best-tasting food around. Can’t argue with that!
