So, I finally checked out Pedro’s Springs Mall, and boy, what a mixed bag! It’s tucked away at the corner of Wit and Jan Smuts Road, and yeah, it’s buzzing. I mean, who doesn’t love a good flame-grilled chicken, right?
I’m tellin’ ya, they claim to be the “fastest-growing” chicken franchise, and in some ways, that seems legit. I’ve heard folks rave about their juicy, tasty chicken. One reviewer even said the eight-piece chicken with rice was “awesome,” which totally made me curious to try it. But, watch out for the garlic and cheese buns—they might leave ya wanting more, if you catch my drift.
Now, on the service front, it’s a bit of a roller-coaster ride. Some staff, like Thando, appear to be rock stars in the customer service department, all smiles and great vibes. Others, well… not so much. A couple of folks mentioned their orders being wrong or taking longer than a grandpa’s stories. Makes you wonder if they’ve got a bit of a communication issue in the kitchen.
Yet, when it’s good, it’s good! Families seem to have a blast there, especially during lunch or dinner. It’s casual, and they have a kid’s menu—perfect for the little ones. Plus, we can’t forget about parking—free street parking is a solid bonus.
In short, if you’re in Springs and craving chicken, why not give Pedro’s a shot? Just go in with an open mind, and maybe lower expectations on the buns.
